When you think about how much your animals give you every single day, it should be easy to give them your undivided attention for at least 30 minutes each day. Its the bare minimum they deserve. BARE minimum.
It can be a walk. A play session. A grooming.
Undivided. No phone. No distractions. Just your total and full attention.
They give us everything they have every single day. They wait for us endlessly. They absorb our stresses. They offer comfort when we are sad. They forgive our endless mistakes. They offer true unconditional love.
And they ask for almost nothing in return. Nothing! They just want to see YOU happy and loved.
When you think of it that way, giving them 30 minutes a day is nothing compared to what they give you. They give you 24/7/365. Selflessly.
So they next time you are too tired, too busy, or tempted for any other reason to skip the walk for a day, put off play time, rush the grooming session, remember how much they give you to every single day of their entire life. And then give them the bare minimum 30 minutes they deserve. They’ve earned it 10 fold.
Even though 30 minutes is the BARE MINIMUM, to them, it is the highlight of their day. Imagine have 30 minutes of a 24 hours a day to do your favorite activity with your favorite person? And spending the rest of the day waiting for that 30 minutes? That’s all they ask for. Literally nothing.
They don’t take a day off from giving you everything. So please don’t take a day off from their favorite activity. Get up early if you have to. Make time. Find a way. They deserve it.
