The Most Misunderstood Behavior

The most misunderstood form of animal communication is what humans labels as “AGGRESSION”.

It’s not aggression, its communication.

It means:

* I’m uncomfortable with this

* I’m in pain

* I don’t feel safe

* I’m scared

* That hurts

* I want to be left alone right now

* I’m confused

And most importantly…..

“You ignored my first efforts to tell you….. “

Aggression isn’t an animals default. It’s not their first expression. It happens when animals aren’t heard.

Animals ARE allowed to feel uncomfortable. They DO feel pain. They DO have emotions. They ARE allowed to have irrational fears. They ARE allowed to protect their space and their peace. They ARE allowed to say (for example), “I don’t want to be touched right now” or “that hurts”. They ARE allowed to not like certain things. Just like every human that walks this planet too.

It boggles my mind that humans think animals have to put up with every single thing we want them to. They don’t.

AGGRESSION IS UNHEARD COMMUNICATION.  IT IS A CRY FOR HELP.

Read that again.

Aggression is unheard communication.  It’s a cry for help.

It’s that simple.

Tell your friends. Tell everyone. Because when humans meet aggression with dominance, more aggression, yelling, anger, frustration, or physicality, all it does is amplify the feelings the animal already has that they are trying to express.

Aggression is an animal that is struggling and needs help. If you address “aggression” from a place of support, love, and understanding, an animal will not feel the need to be defensive anymore. And that’s how you change the behavior.

If you have a pet that is displaying aggressive behavior. Set up a reading. We can find the root of the cause, and then make a plan for a solution.
