I recently was asked
“Do Pets reunite with loved ones in heaven? And would past pets greet the newly arrived pet?”
Our pets arrive at the rainbow bridge and wait for us, their guardians, their family. But, human extended family (our parents, siblings, anyone who the animal saw regularly and had a relationship with) will visit the pet upon arrival to “catch up”.
The rainbow bridge intertwines with heaven so these animals will see these familiar souls the entire time they are there, but they do “wait” for their special guardian to arrive. They will run to the gate (bridge) to meet their guardian when they hear their special bell (refer to past Rainbow Bridge post).
Once they are reunited with their guardian they will stay side by side for eternity with their Guardian. While still passing by, “catching up” with the other souls they were close with on Earth. The interactions with extended family as similar to the interactions on Earth. Visits, quick “hellos”, etc.. but with the Guardian it is side by side, together all the time for eternity.
However, our past animals that had relationships together on Earth will wait for each other at the bridge, greet each other, and spend all their time together, waiting all together for their shared Guardian to arrive, no matter how long that takes.
