Do You Thank Your Pets?

Do you thank you pets for the things they do that you like?

Do you thank them for listening to your requests?

Do you thank them for making good choices? Such as peeing and pooping where they are asked. “Sitting” when you request, etc.

I am a big advocate for communicating with animals the same way you do with humans.

If you ask a friend to bring you a water on their way from the kitchen, I’m sure you’ll say Thank You when they do.

Foster Pets

Sometimes. You should tell them. But be sure to tell them why they are in foster and they are worthy. You do not want them to feel abandoned or unwanted when they relocate again.

Animals feel when they are abandon, unwanted, and unloved. It hurts their self esteem. Animals are optimistic beings. They are excited about new possibilities when entering a new home. Many animals want to stay where they are. They ask to stay.

Some animals say they know it is a temporary spot for them and they are looking for someone else or a different environment.

Some animals want to stay but understand the foster process.

Some animals feels more abandonment, unworthiness, and shame when they know they have to leave again.

We want to prevent the last one from happening.

Nuisance Behaviors

One of the most frequent questions I am asked to ask pets is a concern over an undesirable behavior. Believe it or not, pets don’t want to make us unhappy, they aren’t trying to annoy us, or upset us. All they want in life is to make us happy, each us, and feel loved. They want to feel “good”. Because they are ALL inherently good animals.

So what’s up with “bad” behaviors? Pet’s are so intuitively connected to us that they are in our energy field at all times. That is why your pet knows when you are sad, happy, lonely, stressed etc.

Our pet’s react to our emotions with their actions. When we are happy, so are they. When we are sad, they try to cheer us up, or feel sad themselves. When we are stressed, they are stressed. And guess what stress causes? Undesirable behaviors (actions). They feel stress and worry and it is all from YOU, this causes them to make mistakes, do things we don’t want them to do, or do things that we as humans label as “bad” behaviors.

Will My Pet Reincarnate With Me?

Losing a pet is so hard, of course we would love for them to reincarnate with us in this lifetime again because it is hard for humans to understand our pet’s never leave us. Animals do not find the need to reincarnate with us in the same lifetime because when they transition to angel pets they are STILL with us. To animals, this is not any different than being with us in a physical body.

For humans, it is hard. Really hard. We want them physically with us.

Our pets will wait for us at the rainbow bridge. They will wait as long as it takes for us to get there. In the meantime, they will send you more animals. They will send you the animals that you need in your life.

Are You Frusterated?

Here is another thing humans unintentionally do that hurts animals feelings.

Get angry or frustrated with them.

It happens. Humans get tired, stress, spread too thin, lose patience. All these emotions are familiar to humans but they are not familiar to animals.

If your animal makes a mistake and you are angry at them in that moment or even worse, after you get home, it hurts their heart SO MUCH. If you have been gone (and for example they get in the trash or have an accident on the floor) and you come home and are angry or frustrated… they are crushed. They have forgotten about their mistake and they are so excited to see you. Your anger or frustration destroys them, anytime, but especially in that moment.

Nutrition & Behavior

Nutrition plays a KEY part in your pet’s behavior. Weird right?

We all want our pets to feel well. And as we all know they have different nutritional needs. Recently I have talked to a lot of pets with nutritional needs. They have been displaying behaviors that would not normally be connected to nutrition.

So what does his mean? If your pet is doing something abnormal, weird, or naughty… they might not feel good and they might be trying to tell you that. Not all of the “symptoms” are obvious. We all know to look for itching, licking, redness, runny stools, etc.. But there are other things too…

Sometimes anxiety is caused from a belly ache. The animal gets nervous about the way their belly feels.

The Old Ones

Sometimes I hear people talk about how much work their old pet is. Or how annoying their old pet is.

Animals don’t do things to annoy you. They aren’t trying to inconvenience you. Animals don’t understand these things. They always try to please and serve.

Caring for an old animal is a privilege. After devoting their entire lives to love and loyalty to humans (you or other humans in their past), they become even more dependent on us. They need more. More care. More love. More patience.

It is a privilege to be the final stop for such a selfless being. A being that has lived their life literally for everyone else.

Our Animals Choose US

Yes. 100% each and every time our pets choose us. There are never any mistakes and any animal that is meant to be with you will find it’s way to you.

We make soul contracts with our animals before we come into this life.

Our animals recognize our energy and find us. They put themselves in our path. They make sure we see them, find them, notice them, make us think we are “choosing them”.

Even the ones that end up being “difficult” chose us for a reason. It could be to teach us a life lesson, teach patience and understanding, or be the loyal soul that never leaves your side despite your frustration (among MANY other reasons).

Grieving Pets

I have seen pets grieve. They grieve the loss of loved ones like we do (human and animal loved ones).

It is not easy for them and they are often forgot about while humans are grieving. It is easy to miss the signs of their sadness and their depression.

But I can tell you, those signs are there.

Understand the change is very hard for them. They may have lost a friend (human or animal), they may witness the clearing out of belongings in the home, they may need to move, they may need to go to a new family. These things are all very stressful on them. They feel lost and helpless.
